Ian Felice the song writing linchpin of the upstate NY alt-country band The Felice Bros, takes time out from the band to record a solo album- In The Kingdom Of Dreams (on Loose Records) & tour Europe.
His own distinct brand of ramshackle music is enhanced through a cynical and occasionally heartbroken lens – in the tradition of songwriters like John Prine & Shane MacGowan & Michael Hurley but with a modern musical slant.
Here's the album info-“IN THE KINGDOM OF DREAMS” Out 1st September 2017 on Loose Records

An Evening Of BRENDAN CROKER & Shipcote & Friends
An all too rare appearance from classy bluesman/songster Brendan Croker - probably best known as a member of Mark Knofler's Notting Hillbillies or playing as a duo with his best buddy Steve Phillips. Also in the 1980/90s he led his own unique troupe Brendan Croker & The 5 O Clock Shadows. Croker's equally at home with Van Morrison-style blues or American country music of any era. In fact, his deep knowledge of and affection for American roots music, at one point gave rise to being hailed as "The British Ry Cooder".
Shipcote & Friends music’s simply played and with many songs dashed in humour, and sang in a warm relaxed fashion, what more could one wish for in a opening act.

DAVID RAMIREZ ( USA) + Archie Brown & Pat Rafferty
Nashville based prolific singer and songwriter David Ramirez has earned a large and growing following for his soulful, introspective songs and passionate performances. Ramirez grew up in Houston, Texas, where he became interested in music and formed a band with his friends. Influenced by ’90s alternative rock, Ramirez’s group primarily played parties, but he got hooked on making music, and while attending college in Dallas, and became fascinated by contemporary folk and influential singer/songwriters of the ’60s and ’70s, especially Bob Dylan. In Dallas, Ramirez formed a new band and began writing songs that fused pop music with his new lyrical influences, that made three albums before Ramirez chose to break up the band and moved to Nashville to focus on acoustic music. In September David Ramirez released his latest studio album 'We’re Not Going Anywhere' via Thirty Tigers Produced by Sam Kassirer, the album finds Ramirez painting a vividly imagined picture of contemporary America through the songwriter’s own perspective of having dual American and Mexican heritage. It follows Ramirez’s 2015 album ‘Fables’, described by Q as ‘caked with the grit and dust of an entire lifetime’.
Its rare to see Archie Brown & Pat Rafferty playing as a duo but it really works. A local Dan Penn & Spooner Oldham for those in the know. Archie has been prolific himself lately with three very fine album over last three years....so they have lots of sultry self penned soul music to pick from !

"American Country gals evening" with Jaime Wyatt & Beth Bombara (USA)
Jaime Wyatt is a striking figure with an old soul and a voice like a force of nature. Regardless of genre, the Los Angeles-based Wyatt is a dynamic performer, who sails naturally between vintage ‘60s and ‘70s country/rock ’n’ soul anthems and heartfelt country ballads of love and corruption. Country radio station 95.3 The Bear recently named her, alongside Sturgill Simpson and Margo Price, as “one of the country artists you may not have heard of, but need to hear.”Jaime newest release Felony Blues, is largely an autobiographical collection of convict love stories, prison songs, and honky-tonk laments.
“The twang of Buck Owens, mixed with the freewheeling sounds of Rick Nelson’s later Decca recordings. Sprinkle in a dash of the eternal cool factor of Linda Ronstadt & Jaime hits pretty much all the right heights” .Billboard
Beth Bombara’s sound has long lived at the Four Corners region of Americana, with rock, blues, bluegrass and folk all within walking distance. She has toured in the US as a headliner and also supported shows for Pokey LaFarge, Joe Pug, Waxahatchee & Frontier Ruckus. Her most recent album spent 7 weeks in the top 40 AMA radio charts.
"Knee-deep in roots music, Bombara, rather than adding a new sheen to tradition, strips away life's worn edges to reveal the subtle beauty in the familiar and exposing the pain hidden within” Pop Matters

LINDSAY LOU & THE FLAT BELLY'S (USA) + Skylark Song
Michigan's bluegrass/ roots quartet Lindsay Lou and the Flatbellys’ display scintillating musical prowess, swapping instruments, harmonising almost effortlessly and the overarching delight is that whilst bluegrass and country -folk are the Flatbelly’s roots and anchors, they soar above and beyond any unhealthy strictures that might apply, with Lindsay Lou’s own phenomenal voice their trump card, reminiscent in its often-joyous abandon of Eddi Reader or Lake Street Dive’s Rachael Price. They were magnificent @ Live Theatre last February & their return is much anticipated.

CAROLINE SPENCE (USA) + MUSH
While she may not look like one of the road-hardened troubadours of America's past, with the release of Spades & Roses, the young songwriter Caroline Spence from Charlottesville Virginia proves she is every bit as serious. Having won numerous songwriting awards from industry mainstays like the Kerrville Folk Festival and American Songwriter Magazine, and garnered nods and admiration from both Miranda Lambert and her fellow writers in the Nashville underground, Caroline has delivered a record to meet the expectation. Fans of Kathleen Edwards will no doubt find a lot to like about Caroline too.
Whether it’s a song like "Southern Accident" a strikingly personal and heartbreaking account of the lingering effects of her parents divorce on her own search for love and commitment, or "Softball" an extended anthemic metaphor for the all-to-real injustices of the gender gap in modern life, Spades and Roses is Caroline's unflinching testimony and reminder as to why songs are important: It’s about paying attention. It's about whether you can take a handful of chords and find those still points of peace and clarity and joy amidst the basic confusion, struggles, and emotional wreckage of our everyday lives.
"Caroline writes from the heart of it… Sings from the guts of it. We zeroed in and peeled back the all dressings and ended up with a record that feels just as honest. Every song feels lived in and true."- Neilson Hubbard (Producer

CHARLIE PARR (USA) + Phil & Cath Tyler
Charlie Parr’s inspiration is drawn from the alternately fertile and frozen soil of Minnesota; his songs exude a Midwestern sensibility and humility. Charlie Parr grew up in the Hormel meat packing city of Austin, MN (population 25,000) where most of the world's favorite tinned meat, Spam, is still manufactured. The combination of growing up with both of his parents working proud union jobs in an industrial meat factory and his largely rural environment had a broad impact on Parr.
Charlie Parr is a real roots musician like no other today. He has built a frenzied following of fans around the world with his energetic performances and 13 records. On his 14th and yet to be released album Dog showcases his blistering finger-picking as he switches between acoustic guitar, dobro and banjo - and keening, cut-through-the-crowd vocals that resonate with a conviction that runs deep and true. Judging by the work of his last two albums “Cheap Wine” and “Stump Jumper” Charlie’s already done enough to carve out a big name in the field of blues, folk country music

The LOWEST PAIR (USA) + Support
At times the musicianship on display is breath-taking. One of the surprise best gigs of the yearThe Crack (June17)
American two'some The Lowest Pair feature the duel banjo picking of Kendl Winter and Palmer T. Lee. Draped in Kendl’s high lonesome harmonies and Palmer’s Midwest croon, their debut album was hailed by American Songwriter. Arkansas-born and now homesteading in Olympia, Kendl brings to The Lowest Pair her wonderfully weaving poetry of song, old and new, and a voice somewhere between Gillian Welch and Iris DeMent with a little Olympia twist. Palmer T. Lee who hails from Minneapolis was nineteen years old when he inherited a couple of banjos and discovered he could reassemble them into his dream instrument. Palmer’s songs are distilled into the warm sweet sounds of his percussive wordplay and the melodic interludes of his own unique style played on a pieced together banjo.

LILLY HIATT & BAND (USA) + Support
Lilly Hiatt’s forthcoming album Trinity Lane blends the Nashville-based artist’s honest lyricism with her driving roots-rock sound. And while the album paints a portrait of struggle and self-discovery, Hiatt is a person of lightheartedness and disarming warmth. She cites the Pixies, Breeders, Dinosaur Jr., and her favorite, Pearl Jam as influences, but there is also something distinctly Americana lurking in the songs., “The daughter of John Hiatt, she keeps the family tradition alive, mixing Southern influences - Americana, folk and left-of-center country - with a raw approach that’s better suited to the garage than the saloon.
